The Water and Flood Awareness (AW) course provides essential knowledge about water hazards and basic rescue techniques for personnel operating near water and floods. It targets individuals supporting rescue teams and has no in-water practical sessions.
This course is DEFRA compliant to Module 1.
The comparable course for personnel within industry who may be called to work near water is the Water Awareness and Safety course.
