Building on the Confined Space Rescue Operator course the Confined Space Rescue Technician (CSRT) further develops knowledge and techniques for teams engaged in technical confined space rescues.
This course further develops skills introduced at CSRO including the use of rope based systems for rescue access and casualty rescue from confined spaces. New skills are introduced including use of Supplied Air Systems (SAR) where restricted access prevents the use of Self Contained Beathing Apparatus (SCBA).
Core content includes:
- Use of Detector Tubes and PID gas meters
- Personal ascending and descending
- Vertical/horizontal stretcher transitions
- Off-set Rope systems.
