The Confined Space Operations for HART (CSOHART) course is designed for Hazardous Area Response Teams (HART) undertaking operations in confined spaces. It meets the requirements of the UK’s National Ambulance Resilience Unit (NARU) TIS NH 06: Confined Space Operations.
Specifically Designed for Ambulance HART teams this course provides the skills and knowledge to perform confined space entries as part of their HART paramedic role. The course includes procedures for entry into high atmospheric risk confined spaces using Extended Duration Breathing Apparatus (EDBA).
Core course content includes:
- Use of multi-gas diffuse and pumped meters
- Use of Different Respiratory Protective Equipment including SavOx and EDBA
- Considerations for safe working in/around trenches
- Clinical considerations for confined space operations.
