Since 2022, we have worked closely with a UK-based Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) to enhance operational readiness and safety. Using our consultancy-led approach, we’ve driven enhancements across key initiatives.
Project Scope and Objectives:
The aim was to ensure HART operatives were fully prepared for their diverse environments, specifically working at height, in and near water and in confined spaces. We achieved this by delivering a range of Rescue 3 accredited training programmes, ensuring continued compliance and competency.

- Accredited Training Programmes:
We delivered Rescue 3 training courses, including:- Safe Working at Height for HART enables operatives to perform safely.
- Rope Rescue Operator & Technician – providing skills for basic and advanced rope rescue scenarios.
- Instructor Training – enabling team members to train others to an externally accredited standard.
- Ongoing Compliance and Competence:
Beyond initial training, we ensure HART instructors stay compliant and maintain their competency in specialised rescue operations, particularly Rope and Swift Water Rescue. Regular evaluations keep skills current and effective. - Continuous Improvement:
We provide ongoing advice on best practices, conduct equipment audits, and recommend future needs to ensure the teams operational readiness evolves with changing demands.
Outcomes:
By delivering Rescue 3 accredited training and providing ongoing compliance oversight, we have ensured that operatives are well-prepared to respond to emergencies in complex environments. Our instructor training has created a sustainable model for in-house skill development, while our focus on continuous improvement has kept their equipment and processes current. This has bolstered response capabilities, ensuring they can meet evolving operational challenges with confidence and efficiency.
