Swiftwater and Flood Rescue Technician Instructor

The Swiftwater and Flood Rescue Technician Instructor (SRTI) course equips instructors to teach the fundamentals of operating in swiftwater and flood environments.

Becoming a Swiftwater and Flood Rescue Technician Instructor (SRTI) enables you to provide instruction in specialist search and rescue techniques for effective operation in swiftwater and flood environments. You will teach essential techniques, including swiftwater swimming, in-water and on-water rescues and tethered boat operations. On successful completion, Instructors can deliver the following courses:

Water and Flood Awareness (AW)
Basic Water Rescuer (BWR)
Flood Operations (FO)
Swiftwater and Flood First Responder (SFR)
Swiftwater and Flood Rescue Technician (SRT)
Rescues from Vehicles in Water (RVW), if also attended the Rescue From Vehicles in Water course
